The death has been announced of Dr. Ayobami Johnson Babatunde, an expert in Administration and Personnel Management who died on Thursday, 6th of May, 2021 in Ontario, Canada.
News Hub Mag! reports that the deceased was a prominent member of the Old Boys Association of Government Secondary School, Okuta, in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State.
A statement by the President, Government Secondary School, Okuta’s Old Boys Association (GOSSOOBA), Mr.
Abdullahi Hamzat described the deceased as, “a compassionate leader, an astute administrator and a philanthropist without rival”.
Quoting the family doctor of the deceased, the association disclosed that the deceased died of a ruptured appendix.
The statement further said, “Dr. Ayobami who had worked with several organizations within and outside Nigeria had travelled to Canada for further treatment and despite the success of the surgery, he breathed his last on his recovery bed.
“He holds a bachelor degree in Political Science, and a master and a PhD in Public Psychology. He worked with notable organizations in Nigeria including the Society for Family Health and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
“He was a compassionate leader, an astute administrator and a philanthropist without rival.
“He is survived by a wife and two children.”
The statement further stated that funeral arrangements will be announced by the family.
