The entire Igala nation have been admonished to shun violence of all kinds for the social and economic development of the race and Kogi state in general.
Igala Cultural and Development Association (ICDA) made the call in a press statement signed by the National President and General Secretary of the association, Alhaji Amodu Sadiq-Abubakat and Umar Agbo respectively and made available to journalists in Lokoja yesterday.

The group warned against all actions and attitudes that could breed violence, maiming and killings as a result of the election results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
“It’s pertinent to note that leadership is ordained by only God and he gives it to whomever he wishes, that’s why political stakeholders and youths in Igala, Bassaland should exercise restraint by avoiding actions that are capable of truncating the peace of the people we are all one nation irrespective of where you find yourselves”, the group stated.
News Hub Mag! reports that the group also expressed it’s commitment towards ensuring total peace in all spheres. “let peace be the watchword of everyone by seeing ourselves as brothers and sisters of the same parents, let not politricks destroy our tenets of love, ” the group said.
