Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2023 Ijumu House of Assembly Election, Amb. Dr. Tokunbo Alaga Olorundami has commiserated with the family, friends, and the entire people of Ijumu over the passing away of His Royal Highness, Oba Michael Ayeni, the Olu of Aiyegunle Gbedde.
Amb. Tokunbo in a statement described the incident as unfortunate and a huge loss to the entire people of Ijumu land.
The House of Assembly Hopeful, however, stated that the family of the deceased and indeed, the people of Ijumu should take solace in the achievements and legacies the late monarch left behind.
“I receive with shock the news that His Royal Highness, the Olu of Ayegunle Gbede has joined his ancestors. My sincere condolences to all sons and daughters of Ayegunle Gbede and indeed Ijumuland, Okunland, and Kogi state in general”
“We take solace in the great achievements and legacies of His Royal Majesty. May his memories be blessed. May God almighty preserve his lovers and family members” he said.
