Adeyinka Olawale Wasiu, an accomplice of one of the All Progressives Congress APC aspirants for the Share/Oke-Ode Constituency’s seat, Abdulrazaq Apaguntan has been remanded for attempt to commit culpable homicide and defamation of character.
The defendant was also alleged to have committed criminal conspiracy, criminal intimidation and criminal trespass contrary to sections 97, 397, 348, 230, and 292 of the penal code law.
News Hub Mag! reports that Wasiu was dragged before Magistrate Adeniyi of the Magistrate Court, Ilorin yesterday.

According to the Police First Information Report (FIR), the defendants Adeyinka Olawale Wasiu and one Apaguntan popularly known as (RAAF) who is presentingly at large had attempted to distrupt the APC Primary Election held in Share on April 26, 2022.
The FIR further stated that since the emergence of the complainant, (Hon. Razaq Owolabi) the defendant and Apaguntan, “have been threatening his life and that of his family.”
The defendant was also said to have blocked the convoy of the honourable member on his way to his country home, Babanloma, on the 9th of July, 2022 and “attacked him violently inside the bush and attempted to kill him and his family and you Adeyinka Olawale Wasiu threatened that Honourable Razaq Owolabi should not enter the town.
“You Adeyinka Wasiu Olawale ‘m’ also went ahead, defaming his character by posting hate speech about Honourable Razaq Owolabi and marking red ink on his photograph on the social media.”
The prosecutor, Makozi Foluke, informed the court of the motion exparte attached to the FIR and the evidence of forwarding the case file to the office of the Director Public Prosecutor for legal advice.
She stated that investigation to the matter is still ongoing while efforts to arrest other accused person at large is been intensified.
Magistrate Adeniyi, who presided over the matter, did not take the plead of the defendant due to lack of jurisdiction but ordered the remand of the defendant in the state CIID while the matter was adjourned to the 4th of August, 2022 for mention.
