The Kwara state chapter of the Academic staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) has charged all TESCOM teachers that the only Union that is responsible for their welfare and affairs is ASUSS.
In a release signed by the Chairman of the body, Aduagba Kayode Mansur, and the Secretary, Olowojobi Richard, they called on members not to give their personal data to any Union, as is being circulated.
“We also want to vehemently state that no Principal has the right to force down the throat of his/her staff any Union as enshrined in the Nigeria Labour Acts of the 1999 constitution, as amended.
“We therefore, urge all our members to remain calm and keep on with their dedication and diligence to the service”, the release added.
They clarified that ASUSS is a union the represents the interest of TESCOM teachers in all matters that affects them.
ASUSS is a registered union and deeply rooted in 25 states of the federation.
The body, according to the release, remains resolute and focused.
