Bisola Asaju seeks support ahead Badger Open tourney

Kwara leading table tennis player, Asaju Ajarat Bisola has been invited to participate in the 2019 Badger Open Championship, which has been scheduled to come up at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, between September 20 to 22, 2019.

The competition is being organized by the National Youth table Tennis Association (NYTTA).

In a letter signed by Linda A. Lead, the 2019 Badger Open Tournament Director, who is also the NYTTA President, registration and entry fee must be received by Friday September 13th, 2019, in the competition that attracts a whopping $11,000 in prize money.

Asaju, an experienced player of the Kwara State Table Tennis Association and national player has won many laurels for the state and country, and is optimistic of doing the state and country proud again, if given the opportunity.

Asaju represented in various national Sports Festivals, which include the Gateway Games in Abeokuta in 2006, Kada Games in Kaduna in 2009, Garden City Games in Port Harcourt in 2011 and Lagos 2012 Games, where she won medals.

The ping ponger, a PHE Certificate holder from the College of Education, Ilorin, participated in the recently concluded All Africa games trials and the National Table Tennis Championship in Lagos, in preparation for the USA challenge.

The Badger is one of the largest tournaments in the US with some of the best players battling for prize money and bragging rights.

With 29 events, there are events for all levels of play, including a walk-in Recreational event. Some international players are also coming this year to fight for the Open title.

The competition is being powered by Joola.
