COVID-19: Kwara State monetizes palliatives for community -Commissioner

The Kwara state government has monetized the COVID-19 palliatives for the people of Kaiama, North Central Nigeria due to the area’s difficult terrain.

The state government’s decision was in response to the request of the political leaders in the area.

One of the political leaders in the area who is also the state Commissioner for Environment, Architect Aliyu Muhammad Saifudeen confirmed the state government’s gesture in an interview with newsmen.

While thanking the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for acceding to their request, Saifudeen said,” the entire people of Kaiama local government felt the impact of the palliatives which was monetized by the government in response to the request by their political leaders as the best option for their peculiarity as farmers and in view of the difficult terrain of the area in terms of mobility”.

News Hub Mag! reports that the commissioner who supervised the distribution of the money alongside two members of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Saidu Baba Ahmed and Hon. Abdullahi Halidu Danbaba conveyed the appreciation of the people of Kaiama and that of their traditional, religious and political leaders to the Governor.
