The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kwara state chapter has urged Christians in the state to observe the annual Palm Sunday processional rally in their homes.
In a statement made available to News Hub Mag! and signed by the state secretary of CAN, Rev Dr Reuben Ibitoye, the association charged Christians to continually engage in prayers of intercession for the state, country and world at large.

Ibitoye reminded Christians that, “just like the Palm Sunday procession unites the Church in glorifing God for the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ, this year, the whole world is united in the fight against coronavirus.
“Therefore, while we continue to observe the stay at home order of the authorities let us use the occasion of this festival to pray to God to lift this seige from us.”

The statement further urged Nigerians to participate in the 24 hours chain prayer slated for Monday 6th April as directed by the National CAN.
Assuring that, “as we observe this annual festival in our various homes and use the opportunity to pray for total healing of our land, God will heal our Land and restore His total Peace in Jesus name.”
News Hub Mag! reports that the Palm Sunday preceeds the Holy Week or Passion Week in Christendom.
