The Kwara Online Publishers Association Of Nigeria, KOPAN, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the 2022 Eid-al-Adha celebration with a call on them to always exhibit the virtues and lessons of the season at all times.
In a message signed by the Chairman and Secretary, Hammed Adedayo Said, and Opeyemi Daniel Adeoti, the association called for true love for one another, peaceful coexistence and empathy for the less privileged, saying these are virtues which people must imbibe during and even beyond the Sallah celebrations.
“We congratulate Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebration, it is expected that the Muslim Ummah will use the period of the celebration to offer special prayers for Allah’s blessings, wisdom and guidance for our leaders,” the statement said.
The umbrella body of Online Publishers in Kwara State also reminded Muslims that the essence of the celebration of the Eid-El-Kabir is not about sacrificing animals but about selfless sacrifice, perseverance, and hope for peaceful coexistence.
“Therefore, selfless sacrifice and communal love as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Ismael, should guide everyone, as we submit ourselves and needs to the Will of Allah.
“KOPAN wishes all Muslim faithful Allah’s abundant blessings and prayed for peaceful celebration and manifest peace across Nigeria,” the statement added.
