El Rufai begs Kogi people to forgive Bello, urged them to vote him back to power

The chairman Kogi State Gubernatorial Campaign Council and Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Ahmed El-Rufai has begged the people of Kogi state and those who are not happy with the state Governor, Yahaya Bello, to forgive him because he is a youth and their son.

Rufai made this plea while speaking at the grand finale of the APC governorship campaign rally at the Confluence Stadium on Thursday in Lokoja.

“I beg forgive him, I go on my knees. Let us make history, let us not dishonour late Audu by allowing PDP to come back”, he pleaded.

He explained that people said Yahaya Bello is very young, adding that the youths are prune to mistakes and begged them to forgive him as he will amend his ways in the second term.

“We are here today not only to campaign for the re-election of Governor Yahaya Bello, but to finally bury the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the state,” he told the gathering.

He appealed to the electorate in Kogi State to come out enmass to vote Governor Bello, stressing that the state should not forget the sacrifice of late Kogi political Icon ,Prince Abubakar Audu.

Rufai called on the people of Kogi West Senatorial district to vote enmass for Senator Smart Adeyemi, noting that the contest is between seriousness and foolishness.

The State Governor, Yahaya Bello said that in the past four years of his administration he has been able to unite the people of the state together, adding that there is no more ethnic agenda in Kogi State.

He therefore called on the electorate to vote for him and his running mate, Edward Onoja to complete the solid foundation laid in the past four years.

Among the dignitaries that attended the grand finale of APC gubernatorial rally were, the Governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Rufai, the Chairman of Governorship forum and Governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi, the Governor of Kwara state, Alhaji AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shuaib, the Speaker House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, Hon. James Abioun Faleke, Minister of State, Ramatu Aliyu Tijani, APC National Women Leader, Salamatu Beiwa , Hajia Aisha Buhari and Wife of the Vice President, Mrs Dolapo Osibajo and a host of others
