From Babatunde Rahman, Lokoja
Confusion was let lose at the APC governorship primary in Kogi state on Thursday as one of the Governorship aspirants, in the ongoing All Progressive Congress, Hon. Hassan Bewa staged a walk out from the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja venue of the primary alleging that the primary has been compromised.
This is just as another aspirant, Dr. Babatunde Irukera’s complaints that the exercise falls short of acceptable norms and marred by electoral irregularities.

Irukera however debunked the insinuations that he refused to show up at the venue of the primary.
Hon Hassan Bewa, presently serving member of the House of Representative representing Dekina /Bassa Federal Constituency in a telephone chat with our correspondent said that he could not cope with the level of manipulation going on at the venue.
He further added that he was taken aback when nearly all delegates claimed to be illiterates who cannot read or write, hence officials were issuing them with already customised ballot paper with Governor Bello’s name on them.
He said that all efforts to complain to officials fell on deaf ears while the security officials present chased him away.
Asked what he plans to do next, Hassan Bewa said he had started consultations with his supporters and would communicate his decisions in due course.
Meanwhile Governor Yahya Bello has picked the second term ticket of the APC.
GYB score 3128 to beat his closest rival Sanni Lulu Abadullahi who scored 110 votes and Barrister Babtunde Irukerat who got only 4 votes.
