From Tunde Rahman, Lokoja.

The newly appointed Clerk of Kogi House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim  Isah-Amoka has promised to utilise his position to make the House one of the best Assemblies in the country through innovative ideas and symbiotic relationship with the members of the House.

He stated this on Monday while speaking to newsmen shortly after the former clerk had handed over the mantle of leadership to him at the premises of the Assembly.

Isah-Amoka who noted that there were deficiencies in the infrastructural facilities in the House, said the present administration led by Governor Yahaya Bello has put many structures in place and massive renovation that gave the house a new face lift .

“The Governor has done a lot for  Kogi State House of Assembly, but like Oliver Twist , we are appealing to him to do more for the Assembly.

“I am optimistic that in his usual humane characteristics the Governor will turn the Assembly to be one of the best in the country in terms of infrastructure development,” he said.

While promising to work in synergy with the leadership and members of the House in order to achieve high level of development , the Clerk called on the entire staff of the Assembly to give their best to the progress of the House and the state at large.

“Obviously, we will work together as one indivisible entity in the interest of the state. Our Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has done a lot for the Assembly and there is need for us to reciprocate the gesture of the governor by supporting his programmes for the state in order to spur him to do more for us”, he concluded.
