With less than six days to the governorship election in Kogi State, the incumbent, who is seeking for a second term in office, Governor Yahaya Bello has renamed the state varsity after the first executive governor of the state, late Prince Audu Abubakar.
The executive Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello in company of his deputy, Chief Edward David Onoja made the announcement today at the school’s campus.

News Hub Mag! reports that the announcement was made during the Kogi east zonal rally of the APC in Anyigba.
The state deputy Givernor, Chief Edward Onoja praised the governor for the honour bestowed on Prince Abubakar Audi who he described as “the political mestro of North Central”.
“Audu remain father to all of us, we all passed through his political tutelage as a father and an all season politician.
“It’s an honour long over due to our own personal person and a grand master of Kogi politics.
“This is the first time an Ebira man will honour an Igala brother; no sentiment, no religious attachments. We see ourselves as one family,” he said.
