Kogi guber: Gunmen disrupt PDP primary election

Commotion was let loose at the Confluence Stadium, venue of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary in the early hours of Wednesday as gunmen invaded the venue shooting sporadic into different direction.


News Hub Mag! correspondent at the scene reported that voting had ended and sorting of votes were going on when some unknown  gunmen forced their way into the venue at about 1:45a.m. and started shooting from different directions.


Votes in eight out of the 10 ballot boxes had already been counted and sorted out before the disruption by the unknown gunmen who were without any masks.

Aspirants, delegates, Journalists and others had   to scampered for safety while the number of casualty is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.


Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee and other members of the committee were able to escape from the venue without harm. 


News Hub Mag! reports that voting had commenced at about 6:50pm on Tuesday after accreditation of 2388 delegates from 22 local government areas of the state.
