The Kwara State House of Assembly held a special plenary on Wednesday to commemorate the anniversary of a year in office.
Speaking at the Hallow Chamber, the Leader of the House, Alhaji Magaji Abubakar Olawoyin who raised a personal explanation on the one year anniversary of the lawmakers enumerated the journey so far of the members saying the House rescued the state from political jobbers who held it hostage for sixteen years.

News Hub Mag! reports that Abubakar Olawoyin congratulated the members, urging them not to rest on their oars in responding to the needs of their constituents.
Member representing Isin Constituency, Hon. Awolola Olumide Ayokunle in his submission said his constituents have never had it so good. He further gave kudos to the present administration in the state for its people oriented programs.
Felix Omotayo Awodiji of Irepodun Constituency said the ninth Assembly has passed various laws such as the Social Investment Programme, facilitated the recovery of state resources and passed resolutions towards good governance in the state while applauding the Speaker, Rt. Hon Yakubu Salihu Danladi and House Clerk, Hajia Halimah Jummai Kperogi for demonstrating quality leadership devoid of crisis.
The member representing Kaiama-Kemanji-Wajibe Constituency, Muhammed Halidu Danbaba pointed out that the 9th Assembly scrutinized the nitty-gritty of 2020 Appropriation Bill where all Ministries Departments and Agencies were invited for budget defence to ensure accountability in governance
News Hub Mag! reports that other Lawmakers who contributed to the discuss highlighted the inputs of the state legislature through its standing and Ad-hoc committees in all sectors of the state describing it as a good beginning.
