The Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi has charged Nigerians especially youths to shun drug abuse to build an egalitrian society.
Mr Alabi gave the charge yesterday while inspecting the Ibrahim Sulu Gambari Drugs Abuse Rehabilitation Centre, Akerebiaka, Ilorin.


The Deputy Governor who noted that drug abuse had affected the lives of many people which had forced them to engage in vices pledged the support of the State government to the project.
He stressed the importance of the centre and called on the people to desist from vices. Mr. Alabi also commended the Emir of Ilorin for his foresight and support in establishing the rehabilitation centre and stem drug abuse among the people.
The Deputy Governor stressed the need to employ the services of consultant and professional to train the teachers who would train drug addicts.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Committee in charge of the Centre and the Magaji Are of Ilorin, Alhaji Shuaib Zubair thanked the State government for identifying with the project.
Earlier, the Secretary of the Committee, Mr Femi Oyebode explained that the facilities would have Information and Communication Technology Centre, Vocational and Training Centre, Lecture rooms and Clinic among others.
