Says Leadership requires empathy
From Debra Ajulo, Ilorin
The Kwara State government has reinstated its determination to ensure even development of the State in all ramifications.

The State Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi stated this earlier today while speaking at this year’s Convention of ECWA Fate/Tanke District Church Council, Ilorin.
Mr. Alabi who noted that the birth of all the evil acts happening around the country is as a result of social injustice assured that the coming of the new government would bring new hope and new development for the people of the State.
While stressing that the gap between the rich and the poor must be bridged he not that this can only happen through empathy. “A leader does not require a Phd or Bsc but empathy. When there is no love, there won’t be peace,” he noted.
The Deputy Governor who urged the people to be united irrespective of their faiths stated that the only way to develop Kwara state is for politicians to truly love the people and shun any social injustice.
Mr. Alabi implored the Church to pray harder as the perpetrators of evil acts cannot be defeated without involving the spirit of God. He also urged the Christian community to have the spirit.
On education, he said the rich and the poor must be able to co-habit and send their wards to same school, promising that the present administration would fix schools to meet current realities.
Earlier in his message, the Guest Speaker, Reverend Michael Adeniran who spoke on the theme “Behold, I am doing a new thing” called on Christians to allow for a new dawn in their lives, stating that there is always a new opportunity in everything. He charged the people to be prepared as what is relevant today would not be tomorrow.
