Kwara SWAN to rebrand Media Games

The Kwara State Council of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has again reaffirmed its readiness to sustain and improve on the annual multi-sports event among media houses in the state, Media Games, by rebranding it to attract sponsorship and corporate partnership.

This was the submissions of the Chairman of the Association, Jimoh Bashir when he led the new executives of the Chapter on a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kwara Council, as part of the familiarisation visits to the major Stakeholders in the State.

Bashir, who applauded the support and solidarity of the NUJ under the leadership of Comrade Umar Abdulwahab, especially in the last SWAN elections, informed the Council that his administration will work towards strengthening the Union by accommodating more members.

In his remark, the Chairman of NUJ in the State, Comrade Umar Abdulwahab assured SWAN leadership of the Support of NUJ in achieving their programmes of activities, stressing that the Media Games has improved the physical and mentally wellbeing of its members.

He Implored them not to derail from their lined up programmes rather should focus on how to achieve the completion of their Secretariat at the stadium, before the expiration of their tenure.
