Kwara United shines again, beats Katsina United 2-0

Kwara United Football Club of Ilorin on Sunday at the Kwara State Stadium Complex recorded another victory to make it two wins in quick succession.

The Harmony Boys scored a goal in each half to defeat the visiting Katsina United and earned the maximum three points.

The visitors put up an impressive display in the first half mounting pressure on the home side’s defense but the composure of Kwara United which led to Saidu Idris’ goal in the 13th minutes made the difference.

Afolabi Abdulwaheed increased the tally in the 53 minutes for Kwara United to seal the victory for the night.

With the victory, Kwara United now has 16 points to sit on 15th position on the log.

Speaking with Sports writers after the match, Coach Biffo Abdullah of Kwara United showered praises on his boys for the victory, says the secret is the fact that he paraded a very young team.

On the other hand, the technical adviser of Katsina United, coach Makinwa Henry who is a former manager of ABS also in Ilorin said the home side played very well and deserved the victory.

He regretted the tight fixtures in the league which could resort to fatigue on the players.
