A former Governorship aspirant in Kwara State under the All Progressive Congress (APC) and a Peace Ambassador, Honourable Yahaya Seriki has pledged to support 3 upcoming artistes in the state with a sum of N500,000 in a bid to support and encourage the home budding talents
Seriki made this pledge at the Royal Empire State fashion show tagged Walk On Water held in Ilorin, the state capital, recently.
Modesola Suliat, popularly known as Liya , Jimoh Taofiq Adeniyi also know as Praiztige and another female artiste called Malyna were the 3 beneficiaries of Yahayah’s benevolence.
Yahaya Seriki, well known for his philanthropic gestures, applauded the performers for putting their talents to use, urging them to keep it up until they reach the peak.
While noting that the fund is to aid the pursuit of their career, the philanthropist also stressed the need to promote the entertainment industry further. He also commended the organisers for the initiative, the first of its kind in the state.
The epoch making event which held at the Kwara Hotels attracted dignitaries from all walks of life including Abdulfatai Yahaya, Mr & Mrs Adekanye (CEO, His Grace International), the Kwara State Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi and many others
According to the CEO of the Entertainment, Yusuf Ismail Abiodun popularly called Empire Lion said, “Walk On Water Africa Fashion Show 2019 is an event that aimed at creating an operational platform for upcoming and established fashion designers, Models, Make-up Artists, Photographers and individuals all over Nigeria”
Empire lion said that the event provides the perfect platform for creative individuals especially youths to display and promote their talent.
