Likeminds Foundation holds 2nd AGM, Dinner

The Ilorin Likeminds Foundation has held its 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and dinner even as the foundation promised to continue to ensure the wellbeing of Ilorin and the people.

The foundation also identified some major programmes which if invested on would further reduce hardship and suffering among the people.

The President of Likeminds Foundation who was represented by the Vice-President of the association, Alhaji Lukman Atanda Abdullahi at the annual AGM and Dinner held in Ilorin the Capital of Kwara State announced that five million naira (#5m) has been committed into various sectors by the foundation in the last two years.

He further explained that the programmes include the provision of Information Communication Technology (ICT) training to over 100 persons, and distribution of food items and other things during Ramadan among 30 mosques to support Muslims to perform their spiritual obligations.

Atanda also said the foundation shared foods and other items to the less privileged and faithful Muslims in 30 mosques during the Ramadan period in Ilorin metropolis .

The Vice President however advised beneficiaries of the free Information Communication Technology of Likemind Foundation to use the skills they acquired at the training to better their lives and to also contribute into the development of Ilorin and also assist the people and their families.

He also informed that the money spent on the activities and programmes by the foundation was contributed by all members.

The Chairman, Board of Trustees of Likeminds Foundation, Dr Yusuf Lawal at the event commended all the members of the foundation for their kind gestures and demonstrating love for ilorin and the people.

Dr Lawal also called on other organizations in the state to emulate the good work of Likeminds Foundation in order to raise the standard of living of the people in the society

Lawal who described the activities of the foundation as very important noted that the beneficiaries of the ICT programme organised by the foundation can establish themselves with the training they have acquired.
