As the nation grapples with the novel coronavirus pandemic, which had forced world leaders to issue a stay at home directive to citizens, the staffs of Nigeria High Commission London, may down tool, over the incessant unpaid salaries owed them by the commission.
Our source, who is close to a foreign staff posted by the Ministry of foreign affairs from Nigeria as foreign mission personnel, revealed that both local and foreign staffs of the mission are barely containing themselves.
According to our source, the staff are not enjoying the stay at home directive with their families for lack of money to run their homes.

“We don’t know if Nigeria is broke and unable to run her mission abroad again, this is not the first time they will owe salaries within this dispensation, the last time it happened, they almost down tool like this before something was done,” our source revealed.
Our source, who expressed surprised with the development noted that with the level of closeness of Justice Oguntade, the UK High Commissioners to the Presidency, nothing seems to be done by the former Justice of the High Court to mitigate the situation.
Prodded further, our source revealed that workers’ salaries are paid bimonthly in the Commission and explained that there was no reason why people will be owed continuously after working for the Federal Government of Nigeria.

High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the United Kingdom
Efforts by our reporters to get through to the UK High Commission proved abortive. Also News Hub Mag! could not get the response of the High Commissioner, an octogenarian who just celebrated his birthday in London in a grand style.
Investigations by News Hub Mag! revealed that if nothing is done soonest to resolve the situation, the embassy that has been calmly run might be enmeshed in chaos, mutiny and protests.
However, News Hub Mag! will keep monitoring the situation at the Commission and keep updating our readers as issues progress.
