A Kano based man of God, prophet Emmanuel Ameh has urged Nigerians to brace up for the worst recession ever in the year 2020
In a telephone interview with this reporter, prophet Ameh declared that, “if care is not taken this coming recession will be worst than any other we have seen in this country. When it comes, we will all agree that the last one we had in this country was just child’s play compare to the 2020 one.”
He also declared that the debt profile of the country will continue to rise in the year 2020. And urged leaders of the country to brace up for good leadership with the fear of God so as to take the country to the Promised Land
News Hub Mag! recalls that Nigerians in their large numbers massively voted in President Muhammed Buhari in 2015 thereby ending the 16 years uninterrupted rule of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). However, the excitement around his 2015 election was punctured in the face of the collapse in prices of Nigeria’s main export, oil, and the country fell into recession in 2016.
With the re-election of President Buhari in 2019 for a second term in office analysts are of the view that this will usher in stability and re-ignite business in the country. However, over eight months after the election, economic growth has drastically slowed to 1.94% in the second quarter of 2019, which is the second straight quarter of declining growth numbers for the country.
