The Special Adviser to Kwara Governor on Sports matters, Mallam Attahiru Ibrahim has pledged his support to the Kwara state chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), especially towards the completion of its state Secretariat.
Mallam Attahiru, who inspected the ongoing SWAN Secretariat at the Kwara State Stadium Complex on Wednesday in company of the Kwara FA Chairman, Alhaji Idris Abdullahi Musa and the Director of Football, Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club, Alloy Chukwuemeka commended SWAN for adding value to sports development in the state.
He noted that the Secretariat, when completed, will further boost the activities of the body.
According to him, all hands must be on deck to ensure total development of sports, and in doing so; Kwara will not be left behind.
Mallam Attahiru commended Kwara SWAN for the initiative, which he said, will place it as one of the frontrunners among all the states of the federation.
The Secretariat, now at the lintel level, was conceived some years ago, and contributions from stakeholders have assisted SWAN to raise the development to the lintel level.
While conducting the team round the project, Kwara SWAN Chairman, Jimoh Bashir commended the stakeholders for contributing their own quota to the course, adding that the body will soon approach the government, to assist in completing the project.
News Hub Mag! reports that the Secretariat has six offices, store and hall, and when completed, will be fully equipped with modern communication gadgets.
