Taraba NUJ Correspondents’ Chapel impeaches Exco

The NUJ Correspondents Chapel in Taraba has impeached its leadership under the Chairmanship of Wole Ayodele of Thisday Newspaper for persistently violating the constitution of the Union.

Mr. Sani Sulaiman who read the vote of no confidence on Saturday at the NUJ Centre in Jalingo on behalf of the 18 out 25 members who signed the vote of no confidence said that the leadership of the Chapel has refused to hold Congress for the past two years.

Sulaiman who is the correspondent of the Federal Radio Corporation Nigeria (FRCN), said that their inability to hold congress translates to lack of transparency and accountability in the administration of the chapel.

He directed the deposed executives to hand over all union’s property in their possession to the acting Chairman, Malam Magaji Hunkuyi of the Daily Trust within 24 hours.

News Hub Mag! recalls that Mr. Wole Ayodele was previously impeached as Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel in Kogi state when he was serving there.
