I am not going to talk about Nigeria today neither will my post be about my governor or my state, Kogi State.
But I will still be talking about my state, not on the state level but on the local government level (isn’t these two paragraphs an anthithesis)?
Divinity placed leadership on your laps free of charge for four years at the local level, with no one checkmating you, yet you had nothing to show for those four years except for quality hotel receipts and bills and like King Solomon, an harem of wives and concubines; the skirts took over your entire being yet you struggle to get the seat for the second time, do you think we are all dunces?
You diverted two transformers meant for my community away to other communities who neither requested nor needed it at that time just to proof that you are incharge, one of the transformers still has our community name written on it till date where it was installed, now you junket the whole place seeking for loyalty, looking for votes where you did not keep them, “edakun”, do you think the whole community is daft?
You were never at your duty post, neither did you add a flower to those already planted in that secretariat. Not even the colours of those secretariat buildings were changed for four years and you think that those buildings will welcome such and ineptitude leader like you back into its belly?
Your rely solely on your vodoos and use of thuggery, don’t you know what the bible says in the book of Psalms 20 verse 7 and 8? It reads: “7. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. 8. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.”
You rely on the power that be, not knowing that your cup is filled and overflowing. Again let me drop for you here what the bible says about those who put there trust in men. Jeremiah chapter 17 verse 5, “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.”
And finally, let me drop for you here what the bible says about wicked leaders, Proverbs 29 verse 2 says, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”
And this is what God says He will do to them according to his words in Jeremiah 23 verses 1- 4. “Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord. Therefore thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning the shepherds who care for my people: “You have scattered my flock and have driven them away, and you have not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for your evil deeds, declares the Lord. Then I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and I will bring them back to their fold, and they shall be fruitful and multiply. I will set shepherds over them who will care for them, and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be missing, declares the Lord.
I am neither for rotation nor against it, I am for good governance and the old order. I belong to everyone and I belong to no one.
