A certain Mrs Maureen Miebode, has allegedly bathed her husband with hot water over a dispute along INEC Road in Kpansia area of Yenagoa LGA of Bayelsa State.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of June 3, 2020 is a reprisal from the wife after the husband had slapped her during the eve of June 2, 2020.
According to the victim, Mr Oyinkro Miebode, the whole issue started when his wife called him to meet her somewhere at 8pm, to help her pick up her phone for security purpose. Simply because his boss dropped him at the place after work, he got there early.
However, the wife got annoyed that he arrived early and accused him of monitoring her. The husband also questioned her about her early arrival when she initially told him to come by 8pm.
The issue led to altercation and they kept dragging the issue till they got home. For hurling insults on him, the husband disclosed that he slapped her twice in order to call her to order and he thought the whole issue has been settled.
He explained further that he left home that night after having received a call from his friend, who invited him for a birthday party.
On getting home after the party, sleeping in the sitting room, the wife poured hot water on him, inflicting him with severe skin burns.
