Nigeria records 148 COVID-19 cases, hits 2950 cases

Nigeria has recorded new COVID-19 cases with the NCDC announcing 148 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

News Hub Mag! reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 148 new COVID-19 cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Tuesday evening, May 5.

The NCDC explained that of the 148 COVID-19 cases recorded on Tuesday evening, 43 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city.

The others are as follows; Kano has 32, Zamfara has 14, FCT has 10, Katsina has 9, Taraba has 7, Borno has  6, Ogun has  6, Oyo has 5, Edo has 3, Kaduna has 3, Bauchi has 3, Adamawa has 2, Gombe has 2, Plateau has 1, Sokoto has 1 while Kebbi also has 1.

The NCDC tweeted: “148 new cases of #COVID19; 43-Lagos 32-Kano 14-Zamfara 10-FCT 9-Katsina 7-Taraba 6-Borno 6-Ogun 5-Oyo 3-Edo 3-Kaduna 3-Bauchi 2-Adamawa 2-Gombe 1-Plateau 1-Sokoto 1-Kebbi.

Deaths: 98.”
