Nine principals queried for collecting unapproved PTA charges in Kwara

Nine principals were on Thursday served letters of query by the Kwara State Government for collecting exorbitant and unapproved PTA charges in Kwara.

A release signed by the Press Secretary, Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Mr. Kamaledeen Yakub Aliagan and made available to News Hub Mag! said the State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, gave the directive after an emergency meeting with the affected principals.

The affected schools which are domiciled within the Ilorin Metropolis are UBE Ita Ayisa; UBE Olulande; UBE Ganmo; Senior Secondary School, Ganmo; Senior Secondary School, Amoyo.

Also, affected are United Secondary School, Taiwo Isale; United UBE, Taiwo Isale; Oke Aluko Junior & Senior Secondary School respectively.

Aliagan reported that the commissioner during the emergency meeting stressed that the present administration in the state will not fold its arms and allowed saboteurs to blackmail or sabotage the result oriented education reforms of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led administration in the State.

She therefore directed the Permanent Secretary to issue queries to the affected principals to serve as deterrent to others who are still collecting such illegal fees.
