KWASAA will wear a new look soon-Gov. Abdulrazaq

The Kwara state Governor Alhaji Abdulraman Abdulrazaq on Wednesday paid an unscheduled visit to the Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA) with a pledge to give the agency a new look.

A statement by the Press Secretary of the Agency, Mallam Abubakar Owolabi said the Governor who bemoaned the deplorable condition of infrastructure in the Agency, promised to construct the road leading to the Agency, Information Division and News Agency of Nigeria premises so as to ease both vehicular and pedestrian movement.

Governor Abdulrazaq also promised to renovate the KWASAA office by reconstructing the other dilapidated building and joining it with the present KWASAA office to ensure a better conducive atmosphere for the workers to perform.

On the issue of operational vehicle and official vehicles including motorcycles for proper monitoring in rural areas in the state for the Agency, Abdulrazaq promised the Agency a Hilux bus to enable the Agency improve on it’s revenue generating services to the state.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Kwara State Ministry of Information and Communications, Alhaji Ganiyu Mustapha took the Governor round the premises and without mincing words explained the deplorable conditions of the Agency to the Governor.

Mustapha told the Governor that the agency needs operational vehicles to enhance their revenue generating performance to the state.

According to him, the operational vehicle that the Agency is presently using cannot take them round Ilorin metropolises let alone other local government areas. He said this has greatly hampered the smooth running of the agency for optimal performance.

The Governor was also conducted round various offices in the Information Division unit of the state Ministry of Information during the visit.
