Anyone who says traditionalists don’t have Scripture is ignorant -Yeye Ajisikemi

A high ranking traditionalist, Mrs Omolara Olatunji better known as Yeye Ajesikemi Olokun has punctured the common belief that traditionalists have no inspired Scripture.

In an interview with News Hub Mag! the traditionalist explained that anyone who says we have no inspired Scripture is either ignorant or novice.

Yeye Ajesikemi who celebrated her birthday on Wednesday among friends and relatives stated that, “Traditionalists might have lagged behind in documenting their ancient wisdom and the revelation from Olodumare but that does not translate into not having a Scripture. Every religion that points to Olodumare as the only Supreme Being will have a Scripture. The Iwe Mimo Ifa: Esin Akoda Olodumare is our own Scripture.”

Clarifying further, the staunch adherent of traditional religion who described a scripture as a body of writing considered sacred or authoritative by a group of people stated that traditionalists have long relied on memorization and this affected the desire to put down the ancient message of traditionalists.

Speaking further, Yeye Olokun Ajesikemi stressed that what traditionalists need right now is love.

She said, “What we need right now is love among traditionalists. The campaign of calumny against us is gradually building by the day and until we come together and show true love to ourselves and our Orishas the war will not abate, only true love and mutual support will make us overcome.”

Yeye Ajesikemi blames social media for muslims, traditionalists’ conflict in Ilorin

According to her inordinate ambition and unbridle quest has further weaken the strong bond among traditionalists

“Everyone wants to be in the forefront but not everyone is selfless. We must let the love of our Orishas permeate our entire being and do away with inordinate ambition and unbridle quest,”

She called for rebranding and repackaging of the traditional religion pointing out that other religions had, over the years, improved on their mode of worship and grown with the tide.
